Social Responsability

Our Commitment to our Community and the Environment

NSI is committed to investing 2-4% of its revenues in social and environmental issues.

We believe that to be successful, generating profit is no longer enough. In addition to creating economic value, NSI is committed to creating a positive impact for our community and the environment. Our role is to lead by example and inspire the business community to integrate sustainable and responsible practices.

When we undertake transformation projects for our clients, we always seek to assess the environmental impact in order to reduce it.

In addition, NSI will provide pro bono professional fees, as needed, for projects that directly impact the environment and society in a positive way.

SoCIAL AND Environmental certifications

NSI is proud to be a certified B Corporation, a testament to our unwavering commitment to balancing profit with purpose. Our BCorp certification reflects our dedication to meeting the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability. We see business as a force for good, striving not only for financial success but also to generate a positive impact for our customers, community, and the environment. Our BCorp status is more than a certification; it’s a symbol of our journey towards sustainable and responsible business practices, ensuring that we contribute meaningfully to a better world while delivering top-notch digital transformation solutions.

Coastal erosion threatens not only the Magdalen Islands archipelago, but all shorelines worldwide. In fact, the 12,000 measurements collected since 2005 by the Laboratoire de dynamique et de gestion intégrées des zones côtières at the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR) show that the shores of the Magdalen Islands have retreated by nearly 8.5 metres since 2005, due to the erosion affecting them.

Alliance Myrique offers companies the Shoreline Protector certification program. For each project carried out by NSI, Alliance Myrique grows the seedlings and gives them free of charge to the government partners who identify the planting zones.

Some of our Initiatives

Volunteer Involvement of all our Employees

All employees must complete at least 2 days of volunteer work per year with any organization of their choice.

Financial Support to Non-profit Organizations

NSI financially supports organizations such as The Literacy Foundation, The Foundation of Stars, the Grand défi Pierre Lavoie, and many others.

For Each Project, NSI Plants a Tree

For each project, NSI commits to planting a tree to protect the shoreline of the Magdalen Islands, QC, Canada.

Montreal Climate Partner

The Montreal Climate Partnership aims to mobilize economic, philanthropic, institutional, and community forces to accelerate the decarbonization of the metropolis and strengthen its resilience.

Hybrid Work Mode

We encourage telecommuting or working in one of our offices in a co-working space. The offices naturally offer a shared mode and a reduced need for space. Our offices are strategically located to encourage active travel or public transportation.

Travel by Public or Active Transportation

We prioritize the realization of projects in virtual mode but when it comes time to travel to our clients or to one of our four offices, we favor public transportation (bus, metro, or train) and active transportation (walking or biking).
